Blue Planet Aquarium near Chester
During your stay in Chester at Wharton Lock apartment enjoy a day out at the award winning Blue Planet, Britain's largest aquarium attraction, has two floors of interactive displays and exhibits.
Take a journey of adventure through the waters of the world, from the misty northern streams to the shark inhabited waters of the Caribbean. Take a peek at the array of scary and poisonous creatures, and watch the fantastic collection of sharks from the underwater tunnel, one of the longest in the world.
You can dive, with the PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, into the aquarium and see Freshwater fish, marine fish – from tiny seahorses to massive sharks – poisonous frogs, electric eels, Amazonian piranhas, otters and so much more .... even come eyeball to eyeball with a ten foot long sand tiger shark.
There is also the chance to get interactive with some of the friendly sea creatures in the popular rockpool area. Encounter crabs, rays, starfish and lots, lots more.
With tasty treats available in the Caribbean themed restaurant and fantastic souvenirs waiting to be bought from the themed gift shop, it's the ultimate underwater adventure for all the family.
Then return to Wharton Lock Apartment at the end of the day for a relaxing glass of wine while the children sleep!
