Oulton Park Near Tarporley, Cheshire
Have a day out at Oulton Park during your stay in Chester at Wharton Court, it is one of the most picturesque and historic circuits in the country - a glorious place to enjoy motorsport. Maybe you could join in with one of the race days held at the circuit.
In the beginning the track hosted international racing with the Oulton Park Gold Cup regularly attracting famous teams and drivers from Formula One - Stirling Moss was a five-time winner in the 1950s and 60s. This was reinstated, as a historic event, in 2003. The Gold Cup is now a highlight of the season, attracting the same period Formula One cars.
Other race meetings include the British Touring Car Championship, two visits from the British Superbike Championship, together with the British F3 and GT Championships on Easter weekend.
