Refurbishment
Living Art Fire
Walk into the lounge and appreciate the new feeling of space and warmth that the renovations have given this area - the radiator has been removed and replaced with a fantastic "Living Art Fire". After a busy day out in Chester return to the apartment and curl up in the luxury leather sofa and chairs while enjoying the "crackling" log fire. This is a fantastic piece of design by Dimplex giving you the choice of coal or log fire with the option to enjoy the cosy fire with or without the heaters. In the Summer why not look at the cool ice capped views or the trickling stream while you enjoy the cool blown air. If you prefer the relaxing view of tropical fish in an aquarium you can have that too! This Living Art fire really has to be seen to be truly enjoyed! The new curtains and voiles together with the comfortable new dining table chairs all compliment each other and offer you the best of self catering in Chester.
Bathrooms get a lift at Wharton Lock Balcony Apartment
Part 3 of the Wharton Lock Refurbishment
The family bathroom is now tiled floor to ceiling in white tiles with a trim of turquoise and chrome to give the bathroom an overall brighter feel. The oak and mirror bathside, matching soft close oak toilet seat and even an oak light pull all set off the new look bathroom. The glass shower screen was the final touch to complete the overhaul, all this together with the matching towels, dishes and pot pourri makes it a lovely picture!
Luxurious new carpets at Wharton Lock apartment
Part 2 of the Wharton Lock Refurbishment
As soon as you walk through the door of the 4* Gold Wharton Lock Apartment you will notice the fresh new "soft-feel" carpets, they give a real spring to your step with a 10mm soundproof underlay. Coloured "Gold" it compliments the complete feeling of luxury within the apartment. Preparation for these new carpets came with the help of two of our "offspring" - First Keith came up for the middle weekend of the renovations and, together with Graham, took on the job of shortening all eight of the fire doors. Quite a task but at least they were done before the carpet went down.

The makeover begins!
3 years after we initially bought and renovated Wharton Lock Apartment, we have decided to give it a complete makeover. The positive comments from the many guests, who have stayed at the apartment, encouraged us to upgrade the facilities even further and at the same time redecorate and replace all the curtains and carpets. Over the months before we started the work we researched and sourced all the fittings over the internet. Thanks to Simon for taking in the numerous deliveries leading up to the start of our work at the end of October!
