The makeover begins!

3 years after we initially bought and renovated Wharton Lock Apartment, we have decided to give it a complete makeover. The positive comments from the many guests, who have stayed at the apartment, encouraged us to upgrade the facilities even further and at the same time redecorate and replace all the curtains and carpets. Over the months before we started the work we researched and sourced all the fittings over the internet. Thanks to Simon for taking in the numerous deliveries leading up to the start of our work at the end of October!

We arrived on Friday 31st October and had just 2 weeks to complete all the work then have our Quality in Tourism assessment, let Ioan Said, the photographer, take new photographs, show Ricardo Gomez from Visit Chester and Cheshire around and then let the next guests check in on Friday 13th November - would this date bring us luck or not? We had a few unexpected hiccups and problems along the way and more than a few late nights, however we completed the work on time with the help of Simon, Keith and Amy, so thanks to all of you! Not forgetting of course Sue and her team at Poppies, the cleaners. Now we wait for our official notification of our grading, although we have a good idea of what it will be.
